Čvarakfest

On the last Saturday in November (November 26), as every year, the Čvarakfest is traditionally held in Karanac. In addition to the crackling melting competition, the biggest fair of domestic products in the region is also held. Baranja delicacies are on offer, from kulen, sausages, cheeses, bacon to wine, brandy, ground red peppers, cakes... You can also buy various wooden products, wicker baskets and souvenirs.
In order to warm up, you can drink a glass of homemade brandy, after which it would be good to eat something nice "with a spoon" like "čobanac". For fish lovers, we recommend carp in forks.
In any case, Čvarakfest is a one-of-a-kind gastro-event for fans of local cuisine and socializing.
