Vučedol - the cradle of Vučedol culture

The Vučedol archaeological site near Vukovar is one of the most important archaeological sites in Europe with a culture from the Eneolithic era, which in the third millennium BC occupied the area of today's 13 European countries.

The Vučedol Culture Museum, with its specific architecture, has perfectly blended and merged with the environment, you will be delighted with it at first sight. Through the exhibition of the Museum, you will get to know the archaeological and historical values presented in a modern way.

The most famous ceramic vessel from the archaeological excavations in Vučedol is the Vučedol dove. Modeled in the shape of a dove, it has become one of the most recognizable symbols of the city of Vukovar.

In our tours to Vukovar and Ilok, we planned a visit to this cultural giant.
